Your ceremony creation experience - what’s the process?

I want your ceremony creation experience to be just as relaxed, exciting, and fun as the actual day of your ceremony itself. So let me tell you about the steps that we’ll take together to create your ceremony.

Once you've confirmed your booking by returning your booking form and booking fee, we start the legal process and I guide you through how to lodge your Notice of Intention to Marry (NOIM).

You'll also get access to a whole lot of ceremony creation resources, these are videos, thought starter questions, examples and ceremony inspiration that you can dive into and devour. Or if you're time poor, that's okay, you can just leave it.

Our next step is to book in your ceremony planning meeting. This is where we jump online together. It takes about 60 to 90 minutes and we talk through everything from the beginning of your ceremony all the way through to the very end.

I’ll ask you a whole heap of questions, which you don't have to have all the answers to straight away. The questions I’ll ask are things that will help me write your ceremony welcome so it’s really connected and relaxed, and makes everyone feel really ready to celebrate you. I’ll ask you about who the people are at your ceremony, how do they know each other? What you want them to feel? That sort of thing!

We'll also explore your story. So this is where I love to find out the things that make you click, the things that are important to you and we explore how we're to bring that into your ceremony as well.

We’ll also talk about things like vows and how I can help you write those, as well as things like exchanging rings and closing out your ceremony. How are we going to send you either down the aisle, just married?!?

It's an absolutely fabulous chat and hopefully by the end of that you're feeling really excited because you'll start to get a vision for what your ceremony is actually going to be like.

I go away with all the notes from everything we've chatted about and I write you a ceremony draft! It’s in a Google doc so you can read through it and make any changes or notes directly into the document. I can see those notes and can then make further updates. That's how the wording and ceremony content all starts to come together!!

Then in the fortnight prior to your ceremony, we have a final run through session. This is where we jump online together again, your ceremony draft 95% finalised by that point, and we talk through how everything's going to flow on the day. Everything from where I'm going come and see you before the ceremony, through to things like your staging and entrance, who's standing where, holding hands and microphones, putting rings on, all of the important details!

And the best bit is you don’t have to remember any of it!

It's actually so that I know all your preferences to then prompt you throughout the ceremony. It’s also important because you can then go into your ceremony knowing what’s going to happen. This allows you to really be in the moment and experience everything as it happens. And that’s the most important thing! Feeling present for every bit of your ceremony on the day is such an amazing feeling!

Then… it’s your wedding day!! I come and see you before your ceremony so we can say hi, cover off any last minute questions and sign a form called the Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage (DONLIM).

Then we do your ceremony!! It feels amazing!! You love every moment and so do your friends and family!!

We also sign your three marriage certificates, either in or just after your ceremony.

That whole ceremony creation process is a really lovely time in your lives together!! It's not every day that you get to reflect on all the awesomeness and wonderfulness of our relationship. It's also not every day that you then have it all reflected back to you in your ceremony draft document, before then having the opportunity to celebrate it all with your family and friends!!!

It is just such a special time and that's why I want your ceremony creation process to be just as relaxed, enjoyable, and as exciting as the actual day itself!!
